UPDATE- Now that the Margate is sold out guests may choose to stay in our overflow hotel- The Landmark Inn. Once our block of rooms at the Landmark is full guests will be able to reserve rooms at any hotel in the area.

To check with the Margate to see if any rooms have opened up call 1-800-MARGATE (1-800-627-4283).
When you call, please remember to identify reservation as being a part of "the Harry Potter Convention" or "MISTI-Con" to the representative from the hotel.

Hotel Policies:
  • The hotel requires a deposit of one night's stay in order to make a reservation. Remember, the con runs from Thursday evening through Monday morning. The deposit for reservation is one night's stay plus tax. The remainder of your reservation will be charged at the end of your stay.
  • Reservations may be cancelled, but the hotel will charge a $25 cancellation fee. If you do need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible so the rooms will be available to other guests. Please be sure to also let MISTI-Con staff know if you cancel your reservation.
  • A two night minimum stay applies to any reservation including Saturday night.
  • (The Margate is currently sold out, so the following policy is not in effect for new reservations.)Staying in the host hotel is mandatory for anyone attending the conference. If at anytime during the conference it is discovered that an attendee is staying off site, the attendee in question will be removed from the conference without refund. This is because The Margate Resort has done something unique for us- they have blocked the entire hotel just for us! We are hoping to have the whole resort to ourselves- a muggle free weekend. To ensure that this is possible, we need all attendees to stay on site. Please respect this rule.
  • Someone 21 years of age or over must be staying in each room. If you are under 21 you are welcome to attend the conference, you will just need to make sure you have a roommate who is 21+.
