At the 10-year reunion for the most famous wizarding school in the world, old house rivalries rear their ugly heads. The former Head Girl slithered her way to the top, but does she still rule the school? Has that angry Badger changed her stripes? What are those two students-turned-professors hiding? And, who invited the non-wizard?
As the evening progresses, someone is sure to come up with another Clever [By Half] idea to get someone killed - or worse, expelled. Can you follow the magical map of clues and help the Ministry pull the concealing cloak off the culprit? |

More specifically, we produce family-friendly, Murder Mystery Theatre that is 100% portable and original.
Our Theatre is Different:
- Environmental Theatre: The entire room is the stage! You'll be right in the heart of the action as the world of the play unfolds around you.
- Audience Interaction: After the dinner break, your table takes an active role in solving the mystery by grilling the suspects for clues. As you sort out the clues, some characters might not be so anxious to talk, but they'll never lie.
- The Thrill of Victory: The sleuths in the audience with the closest attention to detail will reap the reward. Crime might not pay, but good detective work does.
Meet the Performers
Christina Sayer Grey spends her workdays introducing people to the joy of Shakespeare as Marketing Manager at the American Shakespeare Center. She has an MFA in Renaissance Literature in Performance and an MA in Children's Literature. She originally hails from the Central Coast of California, but loves the Shenandoah Valley and will likely never leave.
She's still trying to make fetch happen. Dylan Q Grey works with children at risk of out-of-home placement at Compass Counseling Services of Virginia when he’s not charming audiences onstage. He enjoys cooking, hiking, hanging out with his dog, and playing board games in his limited free time.
He only went to Muggle college because Hogwarts wouldn't accept FAFSA. Noah Jones founded the Leet Shakes Company, made out like a bandit with his Directing Concentration MFA from Mary Baldwin College, and is happily rolling into his seventh year as Owner/Artistic Director of Clever By Half Productions.
Fans most often catch him cruising down the street with his steptamafudge. |
Jennifer McBrayer is the Box Office Manager at the JMU’s Forbes Center and holds a BA from the picturesque Mars Hill College. She’s been active in a myriad of community theatre productions throughout her years in the valley, but finds her full time job is really more than full time, so this is a treat for her.
She holds Grumpy Cat as her personal hero. Cass Morris is a native of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and is enjoying her third year with Clever By Half Productions. A graduate of William & Mary and Mary Baldwin College, she currently works in the education department at the American Shakespeare Center.
She writes historical fantasy novels, represented by Foreword Literary Agency, wears corsets voluntarily, and will beat you at MarioKart. John Michael Schott holds a BA in Theatre from James Madison University, where he currently works as a Financial Aid Administrator. He is glad to be spending another year with Clever By Half Productions. In his free time, John Michael enjoys reading, game nights, and naps.
His superpower is the ability to insert random movie and television show quotes into everyday conversation. |
