On Friday evening, MISTI-Con will be showcasing our attendees and presenting them with special accolades for their costuming services to the Ministry. These accolades are known as the Merlie Awards!

The dynamic Perseus and Draco LePage will host an event designed to allow any MISTI attendee to showcase their costumes in divine splendor: each participant will strut the stage to show off their costumes and character and will be greeted by a Ministry official to receive a special superlative certificate award such as, "Most likely to be exploded up by the horn of a Snorack!"

Any attendee is invited to show off their wares, and all styles, levels of costuming, and personalities are encouraged to participate! You can receive your Merlie for your own costume/outfit, offer to model for a costumer and both get an award, perform a short skit, offer a costume for a model to wear, assist with makeup/hair or hospitality backstage, or with tech/stagehand work.
The costumes worn during the event do not need to be original creations, any costume is appropriate- dress as a character from the HP universe or other realms – crossover costumes are also encouraged.
Anyone who wishes to participate in the ceremony will be asked to arrive at the Pavilion Tent by 4:00 PM for a mandatory rehearsal and to be sure costumes and makeup are applied.
