Official Rules and Regulations
How to apply and deadline:
All participants must complete the application form (link at the bottom of this page) and submit the $30 per table fee.All applications must be submitted no later than January 31st, 2015. If space fills up before this time, we reserve the right to cut off the application period early.
When does the craft fair take place?:
The Bewitching Bazaar & Author’s Alley will take place on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, in the Main Events Tent of the convention.
What do I receive with my craft fair registration?:
Each participant will get one 8'x2' table, and two chairs.
Participants may not go over their space limit, unless specifically given permission, or interfere with any other participants’ items. Also, please note that while this event is under the cover of a tent, the ground is dirt and grass which may be uneven. Plan accordingly.
Who can register for the Craft Fair?:
MISTI-Con 2015 is accepting applications from a wide range of crafters and vendors. Our only criteria is that your products would appeal to a Harry Potter themed audience, and are not considered offensive, dangerous, or illegal. If you have a question about whether or not we would accept your application, please feel free to e-mail our Craft Fair coordinator Deanna at [email protected]
To achieve a balanced event, we reserve the right to limit the number of participants selling similar items. We can also deny a participant a table based on space limitations or failure to comply to the Bewitching Bazaar & Author’s Alley Official Rules and Regulations.
Do I have to be attending MISTI-Con to be in the Craft Fair?:
Yes, all applicants must be registered for the convention before applying for the fair.
What about authors/writers/publishers?:
Please apply for tables as well! We have a section of the Bazaar called Author's Alley where author's can sell and promote their works.
What happens at the fair?:
All spaces are pre-assigned. Check in and set up begins at 10 AM and all participants must be checked in by 11:45 AM. If you have not checked in by 11:45 AM, your assigned space may be given to some else and you will be reassigned on a first come, first serve basis. All vendors are expected to stay at their table until the event closes at 5:00 PM. You will have until 6:00 PM to pack up your materials. If a vendor has an issue getting to the event by check in time, or needs to leave early, they must let the organizers know ahead of time. Contact information for such an issue will be provided as we get closer to the convention.
Participants should not leave their table unattended for extended periods of time. MISTI-Con is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

New for 2015! The Best of the Bazaar Awards!
During the event we will be hosting the first ever Best of the Bazaar Competition! You are not required to be part of this competition and participants may opt in or out on the application form. Booths that opt in will be given a special marker during check in and awards will be given at the Closing Ceremony on Monday morning. Booth judging and awards will be given based on several criteria including:
- Booth/Table Display
- Item Quality
- Unique Products
- Overall Magical-ness
The Bazaar Competition rewards are going to be very similar to our awards during The Merlies and are meant to be fun and entertaining. No one should feel they are actually directly competing with other crafters and just have fun!
